Believers partake of The Inheritance as by faith as they hear and believe the word of Christ. Sometimes they receive unknowingly.
But the first thing that is received knowingly is salvation. For with it comes the assurance from the Holy Spirit that they are saved and are no longer sinners.
However from this time on the enemy of all Believers, Satan, will begin trying to steal, kill and destroy these things from God as Jesus said he would (John 10'10).
Nevertheless, one of the greatest understandings among those great spiritual things of The Inheritance is this:
Our heavenly Father "... has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love," Colossians 1'13.
Knowing this keeps the Lord's People strong and safe from the enemy's attempts to destroy their spiritual life.
As a pattern for all Believers, the scriptures from Acts 2'1 to Revelation 3'22 show instances of the first Believers learning, partaking by faith and experiencing The Inheritance.
Among them is the Letter to the Hebrew Believers which presents foundational understandings.
Chapter 5'12 to 6'2 refers to "elementary principles of Christ" (6'1), also called "the first principles of the oracles of God" (5'12).
God has provided these principles for every Believer. Knowing them and experiencing them forms their spiritual foundation (see Your Kingdom Foundation on the Menu).
When Jesus intervened in the life of Paul (Acts 26'18) He commissioned him to go to Jews and Gentiles for this purpose:
"... to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God,
that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me".
Prayer. Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your wonderful forgiveness. And for the provision of The Inheritance now, every day, and in the glorious future.
In Jesus' name. Amen
