THE ENEMY TELLS LIES

The Lord told His People in a number of ways what the enemy is like. First and foremost, he tells lies. He misuses God's Word. He showed that in his interactions with Jesus during His time of testing in the wilderness.

In another verbal encounter, with some Pharisees this time, Jesus described Satan's nature:

“He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it," John 8'44.

The apostle Peter spoke about him saying:

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world," 1 Peter 5'8-9 .

Just listen to what the apostle John said:

"Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come,

for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down," Revelation 12'10.

Finally, the Lord declared: “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out," John 12'31. And He achieved it for all His Called-Out People.
