Kingdom Inheritance Today

Considering the Body of Christ

as presented in the scriptures of Acts 2'1 through to Revelation 3'22

so as to express the New Covenant Kingdom of God

in speaking, believing, experiencing and doing.

::

The differentchurch vision arose out the realisation of the importance of the Father's command to Believers to "Hear Him!" for all things (Matthew 17'1-9; Mark 9'1-8; Luke 9'28-36).

differentchurch aims to speak to

those who have left "church" but not left Jesus

those who have questions about the Biblical bases of “the Church” and Christianity.

differentchurch aims to speak to those who have not yet heard the Good News of Christ and the Kingdom.

Working out these aims includes:

1. Refreshing ourselves in the word of Christ and its restorative power.

2. Disposing ourselves to the Holy Spirit.

3. Asking the Father for the refreshing of the Holy Spirit.

4. Observing and following the lives and ministries of the New Covenant Kingdom Saints.

These involve:

1. Refreshing ourselves in the word of Christ and its restorative power (as found firstly   in the scriptures of Acts 2'1 through to Revelation 3'22).

- "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him," Colossians 3'16-17.

2. Disposing ourselves to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

- "... we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord," 2 Corinthians 3'18.

- "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty," 2 Corinthians 3'17.

- "... be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord," Ephesians 5'18-19.37.

3. Asking the Father in Jesus' name for the Holy Spirit.

- "... how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!," Matthew 7'11.

- Jesus called out: "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water," John 7'37-38.

4. Observing and following the lives and ministries of the New Covenant Kingdom Saints who are portrayed in Acts 2'1 to Revelation 3'22.

- "Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern ... For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ," Philippians 3'17-20.

- "... pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Timothy 2'22.

- "... I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding," 1 Corinthians 14'15.

- "... my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God," 1 Corinthians 2'4-5.

- "... not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. For the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power," 1 Corinthians 4'19-20.

Prayer. Heavenly Father, thank you for the word of Christ.

And thank you too, in expectation and anticipation, for the work of the Holy Spirit among the your People. For your glory.
