Immersion into the Body of Christ

Α-Ω

"Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ,

let us go on to perfection, not laying again

the foundation of repentance from dead works

and of faith toward God,

of the teaching of immersions, of laying on of hands,

of resurrection of the dead and of eternal judgment.

And this we will do if God permits," Hebrews 6'1-3.

"Now you are the Body of Christ

and members individually,"

1 Corinthians 12'27.

Regarding the complete teaching of Immersion into the Body of Christ, 1 Corinthians 12'13-14 is clear:

"For by one Spirit we were all immersed into one body -

whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free -

and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.

For in fact the body is not one member but many ...".

These words are part of the explanation, beginning at verse 1, emphasising that Believers have God and not idols-gods as the Gentiles do.

Verses 7-12 explain the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in His giving of gifts.

It concludes by emphasising that it was by one Spirit (not many spirits!) that we were all immersed into one Body.

And because Christ's Called-Out Ones are the one Body of Christ the Spirit is used by Him to minister to His People.
