Kingdom Creation

"For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen," Romans 11'36.

HE MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE

This article is very basic, just thoughts about the natural world and who is behind it. Without doubt there are many who have not heard or read these words of Jesus. And, sad to say, many have heard them but did not actually hear them. His words didn't register and it's usually because their mindset is in the way.

Nevertheless, only humans, of whatever mindset, can view nature with awe and wonder at the spectacular beauty, order and complexity of all living things. And above it all only humanity has the innate understanding that someone or something has to be behind it. That used to be called instinct. But Believers know that they are the works of God.

King David's response to what he saw when he looked up into the star-studded blackened sky one night was, "The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19'1).

Then there's that awesome phenomenon of every living thing: the ability to reproduce, procreation. And the outworking of procreation, from start to finish, is beyond belief, their ultimate expression especially in humans. Parents of whatever mindset are astounded at at the miniature version of themselves that they have produced.

David expressed it in a song to God:

"For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. and in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me," Psalm 139'13-16.

Without doubt, all things declare the glory of God.

OBJECTION

However, there are those whose ideas don't acknowledge that God created or that everything is the work of a higher intelligence even. The idea/philosophy reckons that every thing began by chance. Therefore, everything can be explained naturally/materially.

The assumption is that life originated with a coincidence of a combination of chemicals coming together and producing something that had life. Coincidentally again, this non-creation is claimed to have begun replicating itself.

Supposedly, this has managed to produce some astonishing things, eventually producing every living thing that can be seen in nature, not the least being the phenomena of male and female - all by chance! The fact is, chemicals can't produce life. The idea that they can is not founded in fact.

INSTINCT

God's Creation is truly awesome and the top of the list, as has been said earlier, is procreation, self-reproduction of what was created. And, as every adult knows, the procreation process requires the unique combining of male and female. The other amazing thing is that each has a unique complementary contribution which they carry within themselves for the purpose.

Obviously, for all this to happen they must meet each other and must interact purposefully to achieve it. This raises big questions, both simple and complex. How and where did this couple's individual motivation originate so that they seek each other out in order to reproduce? And how did each independently-manufactured contribution with the complementary elements actually come about in the first place?

Animals, birds and insects "find" each other and initiate procreation and in spite of the odds that seem to be against them they usually succeed. Many plants disperse seeds that fall on the ground which, in the course of time, activates procreation.

But there are others that are different because they need the aid of a third contributor to intervene to assist with the crucial combining. Their assistance is not only crucial but has to be perfectly timed. It so happens that the third contributors, miraculously it seems, carry out their tasks in total ignorance as bees do. Children soon come to know that bees carry pollen from one flower to another by becoming covered in pollen while they are collecting honey.

Thus the meeting and male-female interactions of the plants is achieved and the reproduction process begins. But the bees are unaware, like ignorant third parties. They are working on their own behalf all the time. Birds are another example.

IMPOSSIBILITIES

All around us every day in nature there are what can only be observed as being utter impossibilities (that's not including those ignorant third parties).

Just think what happens when new-born animals are faced with finding their primary food source. No doubt it's hunger that motivates them. It almost seems that they are born to fail and die of hunger. But "somehow" they successfully find their place of nurture and partake of the food source.

Like the blind journey to the mother's pouch that confronts a new born Kangaroo "joey". And the lamb that has to learn to walk to even start. And everyone knows the butterfly is nothing like a butterfly to begin with. The gap between its stages from the egg to flying away, after surviving the mysterious developmental stages of egg / caterpillar / chrysallis is staggering.

Only a Creator could make these impossibilities possible. How could anyone argue:

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse," Romans 1'20.
