Kingdom Marriage 4 - Married

Α-Ω

"heirs together of the grace of life,"

1 Peter 3'7.

Α-Ω

Kingdom husbands and wives, are more than Believer and Believer or, Believer for Believer or Believer to Believer. They are yoked together. What happens to one, happens to the other.

They move forward in everyday life tied to one another - and to the Lord. Aquila and Priscilla were two such Believers who showed this "togetherness".

Each of their names appears six times in the Book of Acts, always together:

"And he (Paul) found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla," Acts 18'2.

"So Paul still remained a good while. Then he took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him," Acts 18'18.

"So he (Apollos) began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately," Acts 18'26.

"Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus," Romans 16'3.

"The ekklesia of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the ekklesia that is in their house," 1 Corinthians 16'19.

"Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus," 2 Timothy 4'19.

In these six refences to them each is mentioned first three times! In the first couplet Aquila is put first; in the last, Prisca (is this an affectionate abbreviation?). Perhaps the Holy Spirit is making a point.

Clearly they loved the Lord, they were devoted to His work and to building up His Saints.
