The Kingdom of God Today

1 and 2

Jesus said,

"Most assuredly, I say to you,

unless one is born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God,"

John 3'3.

The Lord speaks in Matthew 24'14 of "this Good News of the Kingdom". This is the Kingdom He constantly preached about from the start of His earthly ministry. It began with Him.

He culminated it during the 40 days prior to His ascension "... speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God," to His Disciples through the Spirit.

Today teachings on the Kingdom of God seem to be anything but the Lord's Good News!

Together with Jesus Himself, His Kingdom Good News has been the focus of the enemy's attacks ever since the Day of Pentecost.

Surely, it's time for the Kingdom to come in the Body of Christ!

It's time to follow the Kingdom Christ - by following Paul and the other New Covenant Kingdom scribes. Their Kingdom word of Christ reveals to Believers the Kingdom of God Today.

When He came Jesus brought the marvellous "... glad tidings of the kingdom of God" with Him (Luke 8'1).

All of His and all of the Holy Spirit's teachings were/are teachings that pertain to Christ's New Covenant Kingdom of God.

This Good News reveals, by the Spirit, that God's Kingdom can be seen, it can be entered, it can be sought and Believers can be continually receiving it. (These aspects will be considered later.)

So, how do the Lord's Called-Out People experience Kingdom understandings?

To begin with, He says that to receive Kingdom understandings a person has to be "born again", "of the Spirit".

These things accompany being "born of God", and they happen, together with many other wonderful things, at the same time as repenting and receiving Christ.

(All these aspects will be considered later.)

New Covenant Kingdom of God teachings, emphatically affirm that, now as Children of God through Christ, Believers find themselves in an astonishing place of understanding and experience.

It's all spelt out for us. That's why we

"... give thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins," Colossians 3'12-14.

Let us rejoice in these words and hide them in our hearts.

Being in the "kingdom of the Son of His love" is to be in the place the Father Himself places each of His Children -  and it's the same day-to-day relationship place as Jesus had.

If a Believer never experiences anything else, the wondrous things the Father does for us at our new birth are eternally sufficient.

So, the Kingdom inheritance lies before Believers here, the place where we have ears to “Hear Him!” - as the Father has directed us (Luke 9'35).
