God makes a call for His People to "be not" and then to "be". This is where the elementary principle of repentance (change of mind) is crucial because it is the power that upholds a disposition.

These scriptures make the point:

1. "... do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind," Romans 12'1-2.

2. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ," 2 Corinthians 2'17-18.

3. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand," Romans 5'1-2.

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace," Romans 6'14.

These are powerful truths of a Believer's new creation.
