The couple's life of being intimate and yet godly and holy at the same time may present a quandary to some Believers.

However, physical intimacy is both godly and holy: godly, in that it is according to the Father's will and holy, in that it is different being expressed within the love of the Lord.

Hebrews 13’4 says:

"Marriage is honourable among all and the bed undefiled".

And it was the most godly and holy man who ever lived who said: "... and the two shall become one flesh".

The expression of physical intimacy is an integral part of a couple's life together. Kingdom marriage is an intimate relationship in every way.

When "the two" do actually "become one flesh", a Kingdom Wedding ceremony becomes a Kingdom Marriage.

The two other aspects of companionship and fellowship contribute to complete the couple's ongoing life experience.

So genuine physical intimacy, particularly sexual intimacy, is part of the total love to one another out of free will.

While possessing free will, the couple find themselves faced with a situation regarding their sexual intimacies.

1 Corinthians 7’3-4 says:

"Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.

The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does.

And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does".

These can seem to be strange things to say. How would they happen in practice? The first thing is for the couple talk about them.

Success on depends on being aware of two simple actions: listening to each other and giving time to each other.

The realisation that Believers are spiritually-natural and naturally-spiritual, as has been said earlier, is helpful. The intimacies of Kingdom marriage are like that.

This is love indeed! This is submission indeed! Remember:

"Keep yourselves in the love of God," Jude 21.32

"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

just as God in Christ forgave you," Ephesians 4'32.

Prayer. Heavenly Father, thank you for wedding and marriage in your Kingdom.

And thank you, too, for the word of Christ's New Covenant and the power and the fruit of the Holy Spirit available for a successful life yoked together in marriage in Christ.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
