The Lord sang with His Disciples:

"... when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives," Mark 14'26.

The Lord's People sing:

"... at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them," Acts 16'25-26.

"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms," James 5'13.

"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name," Hebrews 13'15.

"You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ," 1 Peter 2'5.

"They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: 'Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the saints!" Revelation 5'9, 14'3, 15'3.

"... fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: 'Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honour and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.'" Revelation 7'11-12.

Jesus said:

"... the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him".

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth," John 4'23-24.

Believers worship the Father in various ways. Singing is one of them.

Just being part of a Gathering is an act of worship. However, Paul's participation goes further:

"I will pray with the spirit and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit and I will also sing with the understanding".

But Believers can lift their voices:

Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God," Ephesians 5'19-21.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God," Philippians 1'11.
